It's getting really cold in the mornings and evenings, and you'll want to turn on the heater.
When I open the curtains in the morning, I see Japanese yellow hornets flying around these camellia flowers. They seem to like these flowers and fly over to them every year, but this year there are more of them than usual, so I hung up a fake dragonfly/big-tailed dragonfly that I wear on my hat when I work in the garden.
This type is called "Wabisuke"
This one is pink, but the white is also beautiful.

There were many different rose cutting videos on YouTube, so I chose one that looked easy and gave it a try.

The cuttings were taken too late, so even though I took so many, only three took root and only one grew (^-^;
Cutting trays can be purchased as a set with a saucer and lid.
The remaining one has grown to this size. If it survives the cold winter, I will plant it in the garden in the spring. It is a vine called "Rosa centifolia."

Hedge trimming
Flowering trees were planted along the road as a windbreak, but after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the trees were cut in half to about twice their height.
Taking their age into consideration, they wanted to be able to prune without having to climb up on a step ladder.
When I planted it, it was a thin tree about 1m tall, but I never expected it to grow so big, and pruning it every year was a lot of work. This flowering tree is a camellia, camellia, and golden osmanthus.
